Privacy Policy

Pretty MD (pretty-md.com) is a Markdown editor that runs entirely in your browser. This page explains what happens with your documents and what data the site collects.

Your documents

Everything you write stays on your device. Pretty MD has no server that receives your documents.

• Autosave: drafts, open tabs and files you create in the editor are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) so they survive a reload. Clearing site data removes them.
• Files and folders from your computer: when you open a folder or save a file, the browser asks for your permission (File System Access API). Pretty MD reads and writes only those files, and only from your browser.
• Preferences: theme, layout and preview colors are stored in your browser (localStorage).

Analytics

If you accept, the site loads Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are visited. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites and does not collect the content of your documents. If you reject, it is not loaded.

Cookies and advertising

Pretty MD does not set advertising cookies today. If ads are added in the future, this policy will name the provider, and ad-related cookies will only be used after you accept them.

You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the pages and protect against abuse, as described in Vercel's privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Pretty MD does not keep an account or profile about you; the data in your browser can be deleted from your browser settings.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated.
